Tango® Belt continuously monitors motion, identifies a serious fall in progress, and deploys an airbag around the hips to reduce the force of impact.

How Tango Belt Helps Protect Hips During a Fall

Detects a fall in progress
Advanced 3-D motion sensors allow Tango Belt’s built-in algorithms to recognize a fall in progress. These algorithms are specifically calibrated such that only serious falls trigger airbag deployment.

Deploys the airbag
Once triggered, the airbag deploys around the hips in less than 90 milliseconds to reduce the impact forces that could otherwise result in major hip injury.

Reduces risk of major hip injury
Tango Belt addresses the risk of hip fracture or hip dislocation during a fall. It does not treat the underlying bone loss condition, stop a fall or eliminate risk of injury.

Tango Belt with the Companion Mobile App

A prescription medical system

Tango Belt pairs a single-use airbag with a reusable belt component. Our belt is designed for a three-year service life. If the airbag deploys, you return the entire system to us and we will send you a replacement by express delivery.

Caregiver notifications

When configured through the Companion Mobile App and connected to WiFi, Tango Belt sends a notification to designated contacts in the event of a fall or by pressing the call button. Notifications are separate from the system’s treatment function and do not impact use.
